PIB™ answers these questions! PIB™ is a web-based application that subscribers can view using a secure login procedure. The product is a structured database that allows the user to build the configuration of their mill and for each department and for the entire mill calculate energy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using preconfigured templates. The user can also compare the KPI of his site's performance to:

•   BAT values
•   target values for the specific configuration
•   past mill performance values
•   other sites participating in the PIB database

American Process Inc will configure PIB™ for the initial application which includes customizing the configuration for the mill and the mill's departments, and identifying the metrics within the mill that can be used for future updates. This is a very important step as the appropriate metrics vary from mill to mill.

The available metrics will determine which KPIs can be configured as well as the cumulative data collecting period appropriate for each KPI. Where possible, PIB™ is linked to the mill MIS system so that updates can be done automatically.

We will update the PIB™ target and BAT values quarterly. Data for targets and BAT comes from our database, as well as from other published studies and surveys.

Any American Process Inc customer can be provided with quarterly Status Reports for their company or their mills in a PDF format. The XY Plot gives the user the possibility to compare the evolution of a KPI relative to the evolution of a dependent KPI.
