Data Description

Data Unit Description
Set Item Type Native
Equipment Properties Blowdown Fraction or percentage Fraction The fraction of inlet water as blowdown.
Outlet air relative humidity Fraction or percentage Fraction The fraction of water in the outlet air on the basis of the maximum water that air can carry at the given conditions.
Outlet air temperature Temperature F The temperature of the outlet air stream.
Outlet water temperature Temperature F The temperature of the cooled outlet water stream.
Approach temperature Temperature change Delta F The temperature difference between water outlet and air inlet.

Method&Equations

Option 1
    Outlet air temperature is given
Outlet air flow is calculated according to the relative humidity at the given temperature.

Outlet water temperature is given from the energy balance.

Options 2 and 3
Outlet water temperature is given or Approach temperature is given

Energy balance gives the Air outlet temperature and moisture is calculated according to this temperature.
