The Steam_User model sets a steam demand. The Steam Demand is assigned to the Steam Inlet stream.
Steam demand is set as a flow demand or an energy demand.
If specified, a fraction of the steam is returned to the process as saturated condensate via the Returned Condensate stream. The remainder is sent to the Lost Condensate stream.
If return condensate is specified, a Returned Condensate stream must be connected. If condensate is lost a Lost Condensate stream must be connected.

The steam demand as an energy demand. |

DeltaP |
Pressure Change |
psi |
The pressure of the Returned Condensate and Lost Condensate streams is the inlet
pressure minus the Pressure Change. |

RetCond |
Fraction or Percent |
Fraction |
Returned Condensate as a fraction of the flow in the Steam Inlet stream. |
Option 1 – Steam demand
ReturnedCondFlow = SteamDemand*ReturnedFraction
CondOut = SteamDemand – ReturnedCondFlow
Energy = SteamDemand*(SteamEnthalpy – CondEnthalpy)
Option 2 – Energy demand
SteamDemand = Energy /(SteamEnthalpy – CondEnthalpy)
ReturnedCondFlow = SteamDemand*ReturnedFraction
CondOut = SteamDemand – ReturnedCondFlow
No steam demand!
Solution: Use one option.
Solution: check if all the streams are connected to the equipment.
