Click Tools->Options.... The Application tab covers editable global properties.

Current Author

• The Current Author is the current author of models and is saved with new models and with model modification histories.

File Saves

• File Saves defines file backups. If "No Backups" is selected, no backup file is created when a model is saved. If "Make Backups" is selected, a single backup file is created with ";Backup" appended to the model's file name. For example the backup file for model file "EvapSet.mxm" will be "EvapSet;Backup.mxm". If "Make Version Backups" is selected, a new backup file is created each time the model is saved. A version number is appended to the file name in addition to ";Backup". Version backup for "EvapSet.mxm" will be "EvapSet;Backup;1.mxm", the next backup will be "EvapSet;Backup;2.mxm", etc.

Page Settings

• Page Color selects the background window color for models.

Streams

• Stream Elbows Threshold is the number of pixels the cursor can move before an elbow and a new stream segment are created when drawing a stream. For example, if the Elbows Threshold is 20 and the last stream segment is horizontal, an elbow and a vertical stream segment will be constructed when the cursor is more than 20 pixels above or below the horizontal segment.
• Highlight Intersections displays a small invisible shadow (background color) around the stream to highlight intersections.

Zoom by %

• Zoom by % is the percent zoomed when the Zoom In or Zoom Out tools are used.
